EAST VALLEY FINALIST FOR KIRA INNOVATION CHAMPION AWARD

By April 12, 2018News

East Valley has been recognized as a finalist for KIRA’s Innovation Champion Award – creating an environment to foster innovation is what we’re all about.

East Valley has a simple mission that guides all of its practices and investments: helping founders turn ideas into companies that will grow the economy of Atlantic Canada.

We believe that the founders and companies we foster today will be tomorrow’s titans. We invest in ICT, not only because it is our area of expertise, but because it offers such enormous growth potential for both individual investors and the economy as a whole. East Valley is working to create a vibrant tech sector here at home that will help Atlantic Canada prosper as we move into the future. We do not do it alone and encourage other individuals and companies to join in with mentorship, investment, problems to innovate against. The more companies working towards this goal the more our economy will thrive.

By combining investment and mentorship, we have been able to play a major role in helping Atlantic Canada punch above its weight in the world of ICT. As such we’re proud to see two East Valley portfolio companies on the finalists list l: Alongside Inc. for the Premier’s Award for Innovation and Beauceron Security for Most Innovative Product or Service.

Good luck to all the finalists, there’s a strong list which speaks volumes to innovation across all sectors in New Brunswick. This year marks KIRA’s 20th anniversary and the event will be held on Thursday, May 3rd at the Fredericton Convention Centre. See you there!
